Our board certified doctors and pediatric trained mid level-providers work together alongside certified clinical staff so that we may provide complete quality medical care for your family. In addition to providing well childcare and episodic care for illnesses, we can also assist you with developmental needs, school concerns along with assessment and referrals to outside sources as needed.

Our History

Sumner Pediatrics has been providing quality medical care for children and adolescents throughout the Springfield area and surrounding towns for almost 50 years. Dr. Joseph Stirlacci was the original founder. He was dedicated to serving the local community and prided himself on his availability to his patients. He practiced out of a tiny office in the back of his home on Sumner Avenue for 40 years. Dr. Christine Sickle joined his practice in 1994. As the number of patients and providers rapidly grew, the practice moved to its current location at 1515 Allen Street Suite B. Today, Sumner Pediatrics continues its original commitment to accessibility with early morning walk-in hours and availability in the evenings and on weekends. Sumner Pediatrics offers quality medical care in a warm, supportive environment and continues to serve a wide population from inner city Springfield and the surrounding communities.
