Office Visits
Monday through Friday we have “walk in” hours from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for your convenience. This hour is only reserved and available for the care of acutely ill children. Appointments are not required and patients are seen in order of their arrival. Well Child Care Appointments for well child care are made within a few weeks to two months depending on your needs and the provider’s schedule. Our goal is to always put our patients needs first, however provider availability can vary and may effect the appointment times available. Sick Visits Time is reserved throughout the day for patients who need to come to the office for a sick visit or an evaluation for a chronic condition. A trained member of our nursing staff is always available every day during business hours to assist parents in determining the type of care that is needed. Saturday appointments
After Hours Our physicians are available after hours, seven days a week for emergency needs. Please limit after hour phone calls to urgent problems only. If you have an urgent need after hours, please call the office and the answering service will page the provider on call. Appointments Reminder cards are mailed out to patients and families yearly to ensure that your child stays healthy and is up to date with immunizations. Appointments are also confirmed by phone one to two days in advance for your benefit to help make certain that we visit with your child, but to ultimately prevent a missed appointment. Please communicate changes with a member of our front desk staff as soon as you are aware of a scheduling conflict so that we may properly adjust our office schedule. Well child visits are extremely important and should be kept in order that immunizations and growth records are updated in a timely manner. Patients who repeatedly miss appointments may be asked to find another primary care provider. Arriving on Time
Insurance Payment is expected at the time of service. Patients who carry insurance must familiarize themselves with the particular type of coverage they are subscribing to. Co-payment amounts vary and must be paid at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, check or credit cards as a method of payment. Change of Information Please communicate any change of information to an office staff member promptly: a new address, a new telephone/cell number, new insurance or different emergency contact information so that our records are always up to date.
Sumner Pediatrics, P.C. utilizes an EMR system to record and document the medical care that is provided for your child. This exciting form of technology enables our providers and medical staff to better access information contained in the patient record in addition to delivering a more efficient form of medical care. Patient information can be accessed quickly and accurately, forms can be generated on demand, and helpful information and graphs regarding your child can be reproduced. New Patients
